Interested in becoming a collaborator?
Please send over your portfolio! We know the insanely competitive nature of being selected for a publication to cover shows and as much as we love to uplift the music community, we’d love to support the photo and writer’s community as well!
Just a couple of guidelines follow:
For Writers,
No AI articles, please. we don’t ask for a pulitzer prize-winning article, but just the feel of each show. Use your senses, what did you see? feel? hear? ChatGPT does not have eyes and skin and does not feel what the music looks like in person.
Review must be submitted no more than 48 hours after the show.
For Photographers,
Please submit a minimum of 3 shots per opener and as many as you’d like for the headliner, (preferably more than 5), no more than 48 hours after the show.
Include not just the bands! The crowd, fan reaction, and atmosphere is just as important!
Give us a chance to post the photos first! You retain the rights to the photos and we’d never re-edit the photos you edited. Part of the charm and individuality of each article is viewed through and expressed by the photographer that’s actually there. As an outlet ran by photographers, we know the woes of putting a filter over your photo to make it “prettier” ick.
Please have the right gear for the show. You can carry a film camera but please for the love of all things bring your digital camera. For Arena shows you MUST have a 70-200mm lens or above, please reach out if you’d like assistance in rentals! If we believe in your vision we will make sure you are well equipped for the show!
Respect the rules of the concert. This is the most important part of our guidelines. We do NOT want to receive an email from artist management complaining that OUR own collaborator flashed the stage, or recorded in the pit, or was not courteous. Be respectful in the photo pit. We are all in this together.
